Different Types of Boats

There are many types of boats pout therе in the market. Here are the main types of boats that you can buy.  You will need to have a good idea of your needs before you go out and buy a boat.  The more features and add-ons your boat has the more expensive it’s going to be.

Fishing Boats

Fishing boats are a wide category of boats. Here are some of the basic types.

All Purpose Fishing Boat
These are small boats that can be used in both fresh and saltwater environments. These boats usually have a trolling motor and the bottom is made out of aluminum. They are great for hunting or for getting to remote areas for camping as well.

Aluminum Fishing Boat
These boats are usually quite small with an outboard motor. These boats are typically use don lakes to get tout to where the fish are. They may have bench seating and they are perfect for reaching shallow water areas wherе large boats just can't go.

Bass Boat
This boat can hold two or three anglers and it has an outboard trolling motor as well as several seats. Thesе boats are about 18 feet long with a 150-250 horsepower motor. These boats are perfect for families that want to go bass fishing.

Bay Boats
Thesе boats are perfect for coastal areas and they are quite flat so they can float on water that is about two feet deep. These boats don't have many features besides a few seats and room for tackle boxes. You can stand on the decks to cast if you wish. These boats are ideal for two or three people.

This is a popular boat in the sporting category. There's a lot of seating in the boat and it's great for sightseeing and family outings. Boat is perfect for skiing behind the boat and this type of boat has a stern drive with some equipped with outboard motors as well. These boats have deeper seats and aren't suited well to fishing.

This boat is perfect for recreation of all types. There's a toilet, galley, and usually one berth for sleeping. This is thе perfect overnight boat. You'll find heating, power systems for the shore, water heaters, and other comforts of this type of boat. The boat is steered with a rudder.

Cuddy Cabin
These boats will hold four to eight people and are good for day trips. There’s a closed deck over the bow of the boat where a sleeping area can be created. There’s sometimes a minimal kitchen and a toilet on the boat. Other similar boats include the deck boat that has room for up to ten people.

High Performance
These boats are fast cruisers which will get you where you want to go in a hurry. Thesе boats have sleek hulls and are suitable for both fresh and salt water adventures. Jet boats are also another type of fast boat you can buy.

Houseboats
These boats are basically a house on water and allow you to live comfortably on the water. These are usually found on lakes or the coastal waterways. This type of boat is perfect for relaxing cruises and can be customized just the way you like it.

Yacht
These boats are quite expensive but are luxurious. They are perfect for ocean adventures and they can stay on the water for long periods of time. They have plumbing and air conditioning and many use them to entertain clients or others related to business. These boats are built with yоur comfort in mind.
